Every piece in our gallery starts with a feeling: a rhythm, a coastline, the light on a quiet morning.

A difficult season, and a new one

Harmony Modern began in a difficult season for Rich. A health setback slowed his life right down, but it also turned out to be the beginning of a new one. Rich threw himself into decorating and designing our home, and into creating the art to fill it. Colour, rhythm and quiet beauty became his way back to thriving again.

Sharing it with others

Over time, Rich started making art for family and friends, and realised how much he loves sharing creativity with other people. Seeing a piece find its place in someone else's home meant more than either of us expected.

Doing it together

None of this happens alone. Beau, Rich's husband, has been part of Harmony Modern from the very beginning. He brings a sharp eye, an honest opinion and endless encouragement. Every piece is designed by Rich, but together we decide which pieces make it into the gallery and the direction of our work. Harmony Modern belongs to both of us.

The dream

What started as something personal turned into a dream: to create pieces that bring a little of that calm and joy into other people's homes. Art that feels warm and soulful, that catches the light in a room and makes you pause for a moment.

That's the feeling behind every collection, whether it's a mid-century music scene, a long Palm Springs afternoon by the pool or the stillness of a Buddha in gold. Each piece is designed to lift a space and feel like it belongs to the people who live there.
